A premium NFC tag that looks the part on a carry-on or a handbag. With a secure chip inside that turns any stranger's phone into your way home. They tap, or type the printed code. You get notified. Your name, number, and address are never on the tag.
Someone finds your bag. They tap it with any phone — iPhone 7 or newer (iOS 13+), or most NFC Androids — or they type the 7-character code printed on the tag at lochtags.com/find. No app, either way.
They land on a secure LochTags page for that one tag. They do not see your name, your phone number, your email, or your address. They see that the item is registered and a way to reach you through us. You get an email within seconds, and you decide what to share next.
Two ways home: tap the chip, or type the printed code. The code still works if the chip is ever damaged. No app, no battery, no required subscription.
Works with iPhone 7 or newer (iOS 13+) and most NFC Android phones. The finder needs no app. The sealed, waterproof chip is rated for 100,000+ taps; the tag body is weather-resistant. One-time purchase: $15.99 CAD for one tag, $26.99 for two, $38.99 for four. No battery, no subscription.
No app for the finder. No battery, ever. Lifetime hosting included.

Premium build, passive NFC, and a printed-code backup, so anyone, anywhere, can get it back to you.
Your phone doesn't work abroad. Travel Mode does. Add your WhatsApp, a temporary local number, a back-home contact, and an itinerary panel for airline staff. Finders see it during your trip; it hides itself when you're home.
Any modern iPhone or Android reads it with a tap. Hotel desk, airport, taxi. No app to download.
Dead phone, no NFC, or even a damaged chip? Every tag is printed with a unique 7-character code — type it at lochtags.com/find from any browser to reach you. Two ways home: tap the chip or type the code — which works even if the chip is ever damaged.
The tag holds only a code. Finders reach you through a secure relay, never your number or address.
Passive NFC lasts the life of the chip. The core finder service is free; Pro is optional.
Flip Lost Mode and a finder sees a clear return banner with an optional reward, and you're pinged on first tap.
The return page auto-localizes, so a finder anywhere sees it in their own language.
Three steps from lost to found. Nothing to install for the person who finds it.
Loop the travel tag onto luggage, a purse strap, or a laptop bag.
Their phone opens your secure return page, no app, no account.
Arrange the return; your personal info stays private throughout.
Bluetooth trackers help you find a nearby bag. A LochTags tag helps a stranger return it.

A QR code only helps if a stranger can scan it. Every LochTags tag gives a finder up to three ways to reach you: tap the NFC chip, or type the printed 7-character code at lochtags.com/find. No app, no camera. And it still works even if the tag is scratched or the chip is damaged.
| When someone finds your item | LochTags, tap or type | QR-only tag |
|---|---|---|
| Has an NFC phone (~94% of smartphones) | ✓ Tap, opens instantly, no app | Can't tap, must scan |
| Older phone, or NFC off | ✓ Type the 7-character code, any browser | Must open the camera and scan |
| Tag scratched, dirty, or worn | ✓ Code still works, just type it | A damaged code may not scan |
| No camera / camera won't focus | ✓ Type the code | Stuck |
| App required? | Never | Sometimes |
Accessibility standards — including the U.S. Section 508 guidelines — say a QR code should always be paired with a plain-text alternative, because a camera scan can fail in poor light, on an older phone, or with a finder who simply isn't sure how. Every LochTags tag carries that fallback printed on it: a 7-character code that needs no camera and no app.

What it costs over 5 years: a LochTags Travel Tag is $15.99 CAD onceand that is also the total 5-year cost. Lifetime hosting of the finder page and free email alerts are included, with no required subscription and nothing that renews. Subscription-based smart tags and trackers keep billing monthly or yearly on top of the hardware price; a one-time LochTags tag never does.

No. This is not a GPS or Bluetooth tracker and it can't show you your bag's location. It works the other way around: when someone finds your bag, they tap the tag (or type the printed code) and you're notified by email within seconds.
No app, no account. Any modern phone works — iPhone 7 or newer (iOS 13+) or most NFC Android phones — or the finder can type the printed code at lochtags.com/find.
No. The chip stores only a short unique code. A finder sees a secure contact form by default — never your phone number, email, or home address — and you can update your details anytime in the client portal without reprogramming the tag.
Yes. The NXP NTAG216 chip is sealed in a hard epoxy coating. Making it waterproof and virtually indestructible. And it is rated for 100,000+ taps. The tag body is weather-resistant and built for everyday travel. The 7-character backup code is printed onto the NTAG216 inlay itself and then encapsulated inside the tag's hard epoxy body (about 4 mm thick), so it is sealed in rather than marked on the outside. It cannot scuff off in a pocket or on a collar the way a surface-printed tag can.
No subscription required. Pricing is one-time ($15.99 single, $26.99 two-pack, $38.99 four-pack, CAD) with lifetime hosting of the finder page and email alerts included. An optional Pro add-on ($19.99/yr, 30-day free trial) adds SMS alerts and scan history.
